Ryan Khay
In the last 20 years, Ryan Khay has been a Mobile DJ/VJ, playing at bars, clubs and venues and has held residencies at Gilligans in Cairns, Rafters in Tully, The Cav & Humidity in Darwin, Dragon & Phoenix, and in Brisbane at Rivers Bar, Dubliner and for The McGuires chain of hotels through Nightlife Music Video. Plus just about every function room and golf course in Greater Brisbane, Darwin and Carins.
In 1998 the opportunity to be a part of the evolution of club culture in Brisbane was presented, by being one of the founding members of 97.3 Wild Fm. It was at Wild Fm that Ryan met Club Rev’s very own; Tim Torque. Tim hosted the nightly countdown show on Wild, Ryan was Saturday Nights, and the Boyz met through hanging out at the station and chatting music and all things party….
In 2012, Ryan Khay and Tim Torque have collaborated on 'The Wild Boyz' project. Co Mixing the weekly 'Anthem Mix' for Club Rev, and a few other projects they are keeping close to their chest.
At the same time Wild FM was taking off, Ryan was presented with an amazing opportunity when a position at the largest Musical Instrument store, Allans Music in the Brisbane Mall opened up in the newly created Roland ‘Groove Room’.
Ryan held this position for 5 years and was one of the top Roland Groovebox Salesman in Australia. During the time Ryan was a columnist for The Scene Magazine, contributing to the weekly Tech page.
Dance Music is a universal language… Ryan combines his larger than life stature and approach to life to the things that he is passionate about, and enjoying music and having a good time are two things he is very passionate about!
